Road cycling is one of my favorite ways to discover the world. In my teenage years, the bicycle represented freedom for me. Almost every corner of my small home country of Slovenia was reachable on it.
I liked the independence it gave me then, and I still like it now. I appreciate even more that a bike is one of the best ways to combine a sports activity with nature. The possibility of spending time outside and filling my lungs with fresh air gives me all the motivation I ever needed to go road cycling.
My experiences started piling up, and there was little I did not know about the world of road cycling in Slovenia. Soon, people began reaching out to me to help them plan their cycling tour on some roads they did not know or to cheer them on as they challenged themselves to climb up the Vršič Pass or Mangart Saddle.
And I loved every second of it. That’s why I started Road Cycling Slovenia — to share this passion of mine with you.
